Year2 ~ Week Two: A Silhouette

This isn't a very good picture.. But she's  my favorite subject!

We haven't had a lot of sun this week (actually it's been too cold & windy for Ms. Wimp, to venture outside to take pictures!)

week 41 Connections

Focus on life week 41 and yes this is my 41st post in this blog hope... I haven't missed a week ... yet.........

Some weeks it's hard too look beyond Sally's pictures for original ideas especially when one makes jewellery... so this is my cop out picture....

 The toggle 'connection' for my blue iceberg beer bottle necklace.  The ring is the neck of the beer bottle fused...

And this is my version of connections... a duck  marionette  that I bought the fall we moved here for my (16 year old) son.  This is the patriarch duck every family that is even vaguely related to me also has received one of these ducks.  Mine likes stealing  cat food. 

This is Emm think he's about 9 weeks old here!
& yes that duck just stole his food... He'd like to connect his claws to that evil marionette!

Emm refuses to share now with duck... floor in kitchen is still missing flooring!  'Duck' does get to go for regular walks....

Meet  Elli-Mae ...  Actually you might have  seen her before here....  That was the first time I met her... you can tell it was love at first sight!

She actually belongs to my son Stuart but since he was never home... we borrowed her because she was lonely.... Amazingly all three cats are 'sort of' getting along...

Bead table should be wednesday.. I made it Monday... and I'm doing it on Tuesday....

Look what I found on my bead table this week.... Actually my bead 'table' is a wooden tray.. with a custom polar fleece and foam insert... and yes it was abandoned on her blankie so what should I expect. This picture was actually taken last week... as soon as the sun comes up (April... May?) I'll add a picture of what I made with that strand of tiny pearls (which took 4 weeks to come from China... but they came!)



Pearl beaded beads are just over .5 of an inch.

Well I know you've all met EMM before but he wants to show you just what a big cat he is... that railing that he is standing in front of is 30 inches high!

The picture on the right is EMM last week staring out the window at the rain... ( you do have to enlarge that picture to really get the rain effect!) This season of the year here you have a choice of fog or rain... the only nice thing about fog is sometimes the sun comes out for 10 minutes about 3 o:clock.

EMM being an all grey cat doesn't show the dirt.. He comes as a highly recommended cat colour... Zoom zoom on the other hand has had smokers paws all week ... his cute little white paws have been bright yellow.. I have no idea what he has been walking in...

Here's Em's bead pick for the week He thinks these little guys are cute... and he wishes I would pay him half as much attention as I pay them when I'm making them! Bunnies

Spring....

I have a car for the first time since Christmas... I finally got it off the driveway today! Now where should I go... Along the lines of 'all dressed up & nowhere to go'... this would be all revved up and nowhere to drive...!
As you can tell Zoomies is very excited that my car is now drive-able... the mere thought of going for another ride in a car has him ecstatic!



The heads.. are fused frozen frit.. It's a technique that I tripped over a couple of weeks ago..... on JSglassart.com I don't follow the firing instructions completely but I have quite a lot of powdered frit and I think it's a neat technique!

A Blog Award for Us

Well, I was reading my favorite goat's blog (I should clarify that.. Priscilla is the only goat I know that blogs.. she however is not the only goat that I know... but they gave away/sold Nora who was/is my favorite goat..., but as far as I know Nora doesn't have her own blog!) and I found out that I have been given a blog award.

This award is called the Kreativ Blogger Award and it, of course, comes with rules. I need to list 7 things I love and I need to pass it on to 7 people. I have The Maaaaa of Pricilla to thank for this honor (I'm thinking her publicist had a lot to do with my being picked!) . So here goes:

7 Things I like:

1. Sun... I follow it around the house during the winter! (that is if it isn't snowing....)

2. Reading (I prefer whodunnits... I don't like it when I figure out who the evil person is 1/3 of the way into the book!)

3. Shoes (However I prefer not to wear them as I might get them dirty!)
4. Coffee... ( I drink it by the potfull )
5. Jewelry (I had to learn how to make it as I was spending to much buying it!)

6. Hot springs... however bath tubs and hot tubs suffice as a substitute!
