Since it's actually trying to be spring here I couldn't think of anything more appropriate for this weeks prompt than flower buds opening

My Daffodils (guess they are technically narcissus) |

Does anyone know what this tree/flower is.. they were growing in Tenerife the flower buds look like upside down bunches of bananas.

Great interpretation of the post this week. It is so much fun to watch a flower unfold from a bud.
Is it an African Tulip tree?? Pretty cool!
Gorgeous photos! Can't help with the flowers, though - I know daffs and tulips but that's about it!
your right laurie this is what you get when you google african tulip tree....
Spathodea
Spathodea is a monotypic genus in the flowering plant family Bignoniaceae. The single species it contains, Spathodea campanulata, is commonly known as the Fountain Tree, African Tulip Tree, Pichkari or Nandi Flame
Your unfolding buds perfectly capture the spirit of goodness inside!
Perfect for this week!! I don't know what it is, but that flower is gorgeous!
Beautiful photos and a wonderful interpretation of the prompt.
Your African Tulip Tree is lovely. I wonder if one would grow here. Thank goodness Spring is finally here!
Very pretty and a perfect photo for this weeks assignment! I love visiting gardens since mine is a horrible mess!
Your floral shots get me so in the mood for Spring and Summer flowers. Although I have a black thumb, I sure appreciate green thumbs in others - which you sure have!
