Unbirthday reveal

My partener was Audrey Bélanger from Quebec ( a fellow Canadian)  My birthday is August which is peridot,, I always felt deprived that it wasn't something expensive like emeralds, saphires, or Rubies... actually don't like diamonds..  Didn't she do a great job making peridot wearable!
Audrey's Birthday is June... June's birthdstone was/is Alexandrite, rose quartz or pearls....No time to get any fake Alexandrite so had to stick to colour which is pinky purple... I had a box of mixed pinky purple beads that also contained 'peridot green' so I threw in some beads  of my birthday colour so she would think of me when she wears it!  (Free form peyote with my lampwork beads, seed beads, glass beads, amethyst, freshwater pearls and torch fired enamel beeds)

Oh heavens, that focal is gorgeous! I love the colors you paired with the purple, and of course you had me at 'free form'! I'm sure she is thrilled with that beautiful birthday gift!

both are so pretty! I actually love the color green, and peridot is one of my favorite stones to work with :) she really did make such a beautiful piece for you

Well, crap, wish I'd known about this one!! Audrey did you proud, and you did the same! Very nice....I'll have to have a look at the others as well. You and I are birthday buddies, and I'll always hated the peridot as well LOL.

D Lynne, I love the palette you used. A purple and green mix is my favorite. The necklace is beautiful, and I plan to borrow it from Audrey! :)
Thanks for coming to the party, make sure to go to to find out about the party goodie bag you have coming your way! ~ Shelley

The combination of purple with the 'peridot' green is absolutely delicious. Makes me think of spring (where is it?!) and makes me smile!

P.S. I actually find the more 'precious' birthstone some sort of a curse, I never get the real thing anyhow! Although my son was adorable at the last gem show we went, he kept insisting on finding 'even the smallest' emerald :) They were real... and they started around $400 for a 3mm stone :)

So sweet of you to link yourself and your partner together in your creation. Your Peridot set is so beautiful too. So glad you had such fun with our little surprise party.
