Week 13 of Focus on Life... 25% of the way through the year.. I usually have these written and ready to post by Tuesday or Wednesday... It's already Friday... of Easter Weekend... (I took the pictures on Tuesday before the most recent SNOW!
I live on a coast that has some of the highest tides in the world.... I really don't understand why the millions of gallons of water move in and out of 'my' cove 3.7 times per day but I have faith that the tides here will continue to rise and fall
My faithful tide clock....
When I had the idea to spent the next 8 hours photographing the water coming and going from thecove this is where the tide was...

just over two hours from high tide....

WOW those are some tides! I remember seeing that on the Cornwall coast when I was in England. The low tides are so extreme that the boats are all up on land and laying on their sides. And to walk in the flats is scary. Your legs drop down a foot or more ... like quick sand!
Enjoyed seeing your photos of the tides in "your" cove. I love watching water come in and out and how great that you have that happening in your yard.
Oh holy cow that's a big tidal range there! Having faith that the Universe/Mother Nature will continue to do it's/her job is a great take on today's prompt. I love all your photos - they're just amazing.

I absolutely love this unique approach to faith! Being fishermen - and having fished in tidal areas one has to respect the tides, because one knows they're going to come and go. : )

I'd never realized that tides were regular enough throughout the year to have a tide clock! How amazing that must be to watch the shifts happen throughout the day!
Our lowest tides are in the summertime. They're reported in all the papers and the Aquarium has beach naturalist at most of the beaches to answer questions when you're tidepooling.
