Week 23: Typography

Focus on life ... week 23 Typography

The power of the written or typed word can be more powerful then you thought!
The style and appearance of printed matter has an effect to how we view items, websites, businesses, book titles and the list goes on and on.   Is the typography pleasing to the eye, does the font pull you in, draw you away, make you feel inspired?

The sign for the gallery ....Since I haven't left the Island all week I was rather limited in my Photographic opportunities this week....  (note the pretty yellow flowers growing around the base!)

This is where the 'font' comes in.. I've signed my name using lower case letters since I was in high school,  when I used to do sandblasting the initials worked from either the back or the front of the piece.  I guess the initials are how I've branded myself.  I keep thinking that I need to blow the wad on little sterling jewellery tags... but the price just keeps going up and up and I haven't done it yet!

Love those simple initials. You "branded" yourself early, and well!

Love your sign AND your signature. And Beti is right, you were very wise in your early years about your identity.

I did notice that silver is back down to $21 so maybe now is the time to blow my wad and get little sterling tags?

Great branding - how lucky to have initials that work so well. I like your sign - very eye-catching and I love the colours.

Love the sign - esp. the colours and the lighthouse...
There's something about lowercase initials, isn't there?
Have a wonderful week :)

Lynn I like your sign. You did great branding yourself. My son uses his initials in lower case too and he has since he was in grade school.

Oh how perfect! I love it. Sterling tags would be awesome but even better would be something you could appreciate from both sides i wonder if you could find acrylic or something... I'm smitten with the idea of seeing it from both dfront and back. Beautiful!

Love the initials in lower case and as your logo. Very nice look to them.

I love the symmetry in your initials/logo. It is really a memorable logo. I hope you decide to splurge soon on those tags - I think they would be a great addition to your designs.

Great sign! I hope you get to make your tags for your jewelry soon - they'd be perfect. Lovely how some things just come to us when we're young and stay for our lifetime, isn't it?!
