Happy New Year (2018) & where did 2017 go?

Oops is all I can say about 10 months of missing posts in  2017....   All I remember is it ended in the deep freeze which is where 2018 started...  one day it snows the next day it rains... today it is snowing.. I'm hibernating until we leave for warmer  climes...

My alpha  male Sir Emmit 'woke up dead' to quote my mother on Sunday morning.. he just slowly faded away.. he will be missed the other two cats are already trying to kill each other  without the peace maker in the house!

Today is snowing.. I'm hoping to go pat my torch on the head later today.. at least it's only -4 C now not - 20 which feels like -90 with the wind howling off the North Atlantic!

Week 32 - From Where I stand

Focus on life week 32 Well I thought it was a good time to hijack this thread let me introduce myself... I am Emmit the Magnificent..... This is MY house... the current kitchen reno is not an approved project... My food bowl has been moved at least 5 times... I no longer look for it I find my 'people' and annoy them until they come to the kitchen with me and show me where they have stuck it this time (preferred time to annoy them is about 3 am!)

From where I 'stand' sit/lie this is a not bad place to live..... I can sit on my deck..... wander around my yard.... catch meices.... eat coffee grounds... drink my slaves mommies coffee... check out the flowers, make sure the matress is suitable for someone of my stature.....

Me supervising the care and maintenance of my flowers and grapes... I haven't developed a taste for wine... will have to work on that... Must be something that my 'people' could make me with those grapes? This is the first flower the cactus has had since it bloomed inthe back of the truck when we were moving it here 12 years ago!

It's done!

 It took long enough... but the lighting isn't great in the dinning room  and.... there were frequent obstructions....

 Someone thought that it made a really good bed and had no intention  of moving... He actually took it apart while we were in Toronto...   I was always finding pieces on the floor... I'm amazed that they were all still there!  Actually Emm is not allowed on the table and he knows it...  but you can tell by the look on his face just how worried he is!

Well the income tax has been filed but the box appears to be one of the more popular beds in the house... Stay tuned for the winner of this round!

More on cats

Well I know you've all met EMM before but he wants to show you just what a big cat he is... that railing that he is standing in front of is 30 inches high!

The picture on the right is EMM last week staring out the window at the rain... ( you do have to enlarge that picture to really get the rain effect!) This season of the year here you have a choice of fog or rain... the only nice thing about fog is sometimes the sun comes out for 10 minutes about 3 o:clock.

EMM being an all grey cat doesn't show the dirt.. He comes as a highly recommended cat colour... Zoom zoom on the other hand has had smokers paws all week ... his cute little white paws have been bright yellow.. I have no idea what he has been walking in...
