Week 1 of #createeveryday 2017

I decided to join a challenge on FB which involves posting a picture of something 'creative' every day during 2017... since I know a lot of people who don't do FB I decided to do a compilation of  the pictures every weekend... See how long I last.....
Wishing everyone a wonderful 2017

The great white hunter... the log pile  is his creation not mine I just took the picture!

The remains of the Abnaki I a former Deer Island Car Ferry We have watched this Ferry collapse during the 15 years we've lived here (My view from the kitchen table and no I don't know what this has to do with #createeveryday... my inspiration?)

One of the plants in the Aero Garden I got for Christmas (8 days after planting)

Kipper snacks in glass

Lobster mitts.. One of last summers hits in the gallery
(made from Thaki Donegal Tweed yarn)
A 12" * 2" piece of 22 gauge copper folded
(this is a teaser, what do you think it is destined to be?)

Playing with a colouring book and water colour pencil crayons... Have to colour in the book if I want to use water colour crayons as the black lines on a copy run!

I think you will probably see weekly pictures of my aero garden, not sure what else will become a weekly feature time will tell.

Playing with paper.....

Prototype paper necklace..  Made from paper strips, the blue beads are etched glass and the orange seed beads are seed beads which are an awesome colour and also an awesome price  (ie expensive!)

Since I really enjoy wearing my paper necklace I made one for a New Brunswick charity auction, hopefully at least two  someone 'elses' will like this!  It also has small round amethysts between the beads.
Since Auction pieces need titles...
It's called
"ALL WOUND UP"

week 26 ~ Half way there....

Time flies... we are halfway through year two of Focus on Life... Here's a couple of my all time favorite pictures...(at least since I entered the digital world of photography!)

Driving North from the South rim of the Grand Canyon May 2010
Casa Batllo Barcelona Spain April 2014

I actually bought a water colour painting of Casa Batllo from a street artist  while we were there this time... this is a really neat building both inside and out!

(These are two of the photos I might have entered in Sally's contest if I had remembered to enter...)

Year 2 week 4 One little word

Chaos

A couple of definitions of the word I finally settled on..

A condition or place of great disorder or confusion. 2. A disorderly mass; a jumble: The desk was a chaos of papers and unopened letters.

complete disorder and confusion.
"snow caused chaos in the region"

(we actually got very little snow from the last storm.. I didn't even bother shoveling the wind did a really good job of sweeping our driveway!)

 my word went from
goat  he was suppose to be black.. I spent part of this week trying to come up with 'cute' goat beads for a gallery in NL

To selfie... Was trying to take a picture of my husband and I to send my father for his 90th birthday.. I'm actually smiling (and no we aren't the same height he's sitting I'm standing... I was the one running back and forth pushing the shutter... final version was cropped but I left the cupboards and tiles ... the kitchen is still gaining

To cat  ... since they are such a big part of our day... Ellie-Mae does not approve of her Christmas gift
Then I looked around the house and decided the only appropriate word for me is Chaos!  No pictures other than the counters in selfie!

Week 42 - All in a Day

Focus on Life week 42

Mmm How to deal with this, I'm a self employed gallery owner and jewellery artist....  So some days I make beads..
In the summer I always start and end the day by putting out open flags... this season of the year it's by chance or appointment!
These beads were made for someone... well I needed 9  think there's 22 or 23 there (my hearts are free form no mold! other than what grows on them when I forget them in a bucket of dirty water)

Some days I make components
occasionally I even make them into pieces of jewellery!

Enamelled components for a gallery show in SK
(I cut out the cow skulls using a blanking mold and my hydraulic press!)  Enamelled pinwheels made into earrings... yes they do spin!

Most days in October I pick grapes

OK the grape vine picture is from Sept when the grapes were green... but it's pouring rain today so ... Big picture is processing grapes to make a orange cranberry pecan loaf using 'concord' grapes...I probably bake 3 times a year...

Most evenings I knit
These Socks are a triple first... First time  I've knit from the toe up, First time I've knit two socks at once, and First time I've knit socks using circular needles.... These are for my husband... they ended up a bit big!
Two at once is fun, knitting on circular needles sucks, and I quite like the way the heel looks on these....

One evening this week some of the resident deers wandered past during supper

She had two fawns earlier in the summer but one seems to be gone, also she has been running around on three legs most of the summer... still is so I'm not sure how she'll do this winter!

And I read.... Most evenings in the hot tub...

This week was book bus week, the bus comes to the island once every 4 weeks, I missed the Sept stop...
The top two book are by Alan Bradley... a series about a 12 year old girl in England trying to figure out creative ways to 'kill' her two older sisters.  I usually get about 10 books and get through 7 or 8....

But I start everyday by feeding my fish, Sophie , winding my cuckoo clock, and grabbing a cup of coffee... I actually end the day by turning off Sophie's light and winding the cuckoo clock again, as it was hung two inches too low to make it twenty -four hours!

I had this post all queued to post tonight then realized I forgot to mention the hours I waste on the computer every day... no need for pictures you all know what a computer looks like!
