Week 18 ~ In Your Hands

What happened to April.. It's already May 2nd.....

OK so these aren't actually in anyone's hand(s) but they should be since they are wine glasses....  This 'chandelier' was in a bar in Islay  I've never seen a light fixture made out of rose coloured wine glasses before!
Chandelier made from wine glasses... the light is a single bulb. Really a stunning fixture!

A more traditional use of  a wine glass
Same bar as the chandelier... but the glasses they serve with their wine aren't pink....
A different bar.. this is actually a pub in Wales...  My husband is cracking pistachio nuts with the iron window hardware.... I was hoping no-one was watching...
I was forced to make a crack to the effect that
'Monkey's can be trained to use tools....'

  7. that chandelier is just stunning! I did a double take when you said they were wine glasses. but you're right, you'd expect that all the glasses in the place would be rose colored? pretty nifty trick to crack the nuts with window ironwork .. something my hubby would do

  11. I think if I found a welder and some appropriate wine glasses it would actually be quite easy to make Patty and re John Lennon they are definitely rose coloured glasses.. although I think they are really peach!

  12. I think I prefer the more usual use of the wine glass! Love the nut-cracking technique.

  13. Gotta love that chandelier. What a unique idea. I prefer the more traditional way to use a wine glass though. *smile*

  14. What a cool chandelier! I've seen pictures of other similar chandeliers but never seen one in person. Your husband using the window hardware "cracked" me up!
