Week Ten ~ The wide angle shot

I bought a new  camera at an auction  last year (cheap)... my every day digital camera is slowing dying... so i thought I'd try my 'new' camera out this week.. well it isn't compatible with windows 8 and it's a total pain to get pictures off of....  but it has a fish eye lens... which is about as wide angle as you can get... when you are a wimp and refuse to leave the deck!
I think this looks neat....
Other than the evil snow which refuses to leave!

Similar view ... summer 2006

Great shot! Love that wide angle, although I agree with you about the snow!

Wow! Great camera - you should def use more often. And great photographer! You got the #1 position this week too..... Maybe that's a good sign that the snow is on the way out. (fingers crossed)

I love both these views!! I love the fish eye shot - it's really cool. I also am not a frequent leaver of the deck! LOL. We're expected to get up to the 40's here today - a veritable heatwave!

Oh, love the fish eye! My cannon has that and I didn't even try it! I do love your other shot too - anything w/boats is great in my opinion!

I definitely like the summer view much better. Interesting shot with the fish eye lens. The snow cannot leave soon enough for me this year.

Those views are both awesome. Each has its own beauty.

Looks like you had fun with the fish eye lens. Except for the treesin the background you would not know it was the same landscape

Your photos remind me of Camus' famous quote, 'In the midst of winter, I found there was within me, an invincible summer'...
Stunning photos :)

Ah, summer, where is it?! Lovely picture - and I am so happy to be back into Focusing on Life (through pictures :) since I did the actual, real focusing lately).

Is the lake / river frozen? Must be interesting to see it (albeit I'm sure you had enough of this never-ending winter)

Beautiful shot of the snow xxx

Love the Fish eye lens. The curvature of the lens gives the scene an intimate, almost cozy feel, like looking into a magical snow globe. How different your view looks depending upon the season!
